I must say, I seldom post links to YouTube videos, but this one sort of impressed me.

It's a guy making a speaker from various bits of junk he had laying around his house. Certainly not a studio reference monitor, but pretty darn good, considering what he used to make it. Very ingenious, too.

It's also a really good illustration of how a speaker works.
