Very much agree with Glenn. Don't mess with electrics unless you are qualified to do so. There might be some things you can do yourself, but you should still do that with the supervision of a qualified electrician. For example, you might be able to to run unpowered wiring yourself, wire plugs, lights, etc. but it will need to be inspected and checked by the electrician before actually connecting and powering it up. Electricity is dangerous. I have basic qualification myself, but even so I prefer to get a more qualified electrician to check things on large projects.
