The entrance to M's office, from the James Bond movie "Dr. No". Note the double doors and large gap between them.

Both doors are padded on both sides. As pointed out in Rod Gervais book, this significantly increases sound isolation over the midrange. Helpful for isolating vocal frequencies, even the sonorous tones of Sean Connery.

This film was made in 1962. I think it's pretty cool that acousticians knew this stuff 60 years ago!
