Your design provides scattering and absorbsion as well, what do you think would be the difference between the 2 variations?

Thank you! That truly helps. I want the one with the least high end absorption so I’m gonna go with yours.

I’m trying to decide what insulation to use for this poly diffuser. I seems like it would be an estimated 8-10” deep.
I would think regular low to medium density insulation is what would be needed. Is this correct or should I use a rigid fiberglass stacked?

you could use the light stuff. i'd pack it a bit to ensure even pressure on the panel to damp it.
