Stuart, would it be possible to include post numbers?
For example, one of your posts is relevant to what I am studying now and it happens to be the 36th post in its topic, or the 8th post on page 2 is another way of looking at it. I can bookmark the topic but I cannot quickly look for Post number 36, I have to count each post to find a particular post again.

Re: Post numbers
I've been looking for a plugin or something to try to implement this, but I have not been able to find anything.
However! ....
If you hover your cursor over the title of any post, it should change color, and you should then be able to right-click, and use "Copy Link Location" or "Save Link As", to either place a copy of the URL for that specific post into the Windows clipboard, or just save it to disk as a link.
I just did that right here: I copied the link to your own first post about this question and pasted it again below, so if you click on this link it should take you right back there!
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=63#p432
The part on the end, "#p432" in this case, is the post number.
OK, this is not exactly what you were looking for, but its a work-around that allows you to do more or less what you want. Not quite as elegant, but it works!

Re: Post numbers
OK, I FINALLY found an extension that does this!
You should now see a post number just before the user-name field on every post:
If you left-click on that, it should copy it to your clipboard, so you can then paste it wherever you need it.
I think that does what you were asking for! Let me know if it's what you wanted.

Thanks, Stuart, it means that I (and everyone else) can refer someone not only to a topic but also to a specific reply.
